Homecoming and Week 1

We were really happy to get to come home from the hospital with Eli last week. We were excited to see how he responded to his new environment and to get into some sort of "normal" routine. Of course now we realize routine is not really possible at this point but we have begun to adjust to a 2 hour feeding schedule, intermittent sleeping patterns, and projectile pooping patterns also!

Feeding...

Sleeping...

And Mom catching up on some sleep with Eli.

Pooping...(I've spared you the graphic images but you can imagine what baby poop looks like splattered on the wall)

And there have been some firsts which we've enjoyed documenting.
First bath time...

First tummy time...

First doctor's visit...

And with both sets of grandparents (Alan's came from Colombia to meet their grandson), Eli has gotten lots of loving.
Grammy time...

Grandpa time...

Mommy time...

Daddy time...

Alan has been working with Eli on his climbing skills and we like to think he's quite advanced for his age.

It's been great fun so far and I'm sure each day and each week will bring more firsts and wonderful moments that we'll keep sharing here.

  1. Amazing. What a gorgeous little guy! And by the way, napping with a tiny baby on your chest is the best thing in the whole world. I LOVED it. Congrats!
